Netflix is coming in hot with their list of new content available for streaming this June, and it’s sure to offer the perfect viewing experience to start your summer off strong. While it’s always hard to say goodbye to the titles leaving in the next month, you won’t be feeling down for long once you get a good look at the impressive array of Netflix Original series coming to the platform to take their place. With everything from brand new titles to long-awaited continuations of fan favorites, Netflix’s diverse and delightful June 2022 premieres is sure to have something for everyone.
The streamer is set to help you celebrate the new month with premieres from highly-anticipated new seasons of hit shows across several different genres (so there’s truly something for everyone) like The Umbrella Academy, Peaky Blinders, and The Upshaws.
While the list of June’s top shows features these exciting continuations of more established titles, the majority of our list consists of fresh new shows streaming exclusively on Netflix for the first time starting this month. Keep an eye out in particular for Man Vs Bee, First Kill, God’s Favorite Idiot, and Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey, all very different shows that are united by their high likelihood of being major stand-outs for the summer streaming season.

'The Umbrella Academy': Season 3

The Umbrella Academy: Season 3 introduces Viktor Hargreeves (Page), formerly known as Vanya, who went from being the sole Hargreeves sibling without super powers to becoming strong enough to accidentally invoke an apocalypse all within the span of two seasons. So it’s safe to say we expect plenty of excitement from Viktor this season, as well as from the rest of the cast, as they all find themselves in a new, altered timeline that has arisen after preventing a mass apocalyptic event in 1963, leaving them to come to grips with the new world in which they exist, where an alternate version of their family called The Sparrow Academy seems determined to get in their way. The Umbrella Academy welcomes back fan-favorite characters while also ushering in a host of fascinating new ones, so get pumped, because there’s a lot to love about the latest season of this super series.

'Peaky Blinders': Season 6

The Prohibition Era has ended, leading Tommy (Murphy) to turn towards toward the opium trade, forcing him to ally with his worst enemies in the process. Murphy, Anderson, Claflin, Hardy, and Graham are among the cast, both returning and new, who will bring it all home with one last gothic, heavy story to give this incredible series the send-off it deserves.

'The Upshaws': Season 2, Part 1

In case you forgot: head of a Black working class Indianapolis-based family Bennie Upshaw (Epps) is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to take care of his family — wife and matriarch Regina (Kim Fields), their two young daughters (Spraggins, Christine) and firstborn son (Simon), the teenage son (Lyons) he fathered with another woman (Dennis) — and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law (Sykes), all without a roadmap or guide on how to succeed. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and to grow and achieve new heights as a family unit. In the first part of the Netflix Original’s sophomore season, the Upshaws continue to ride life’s highs and lows, encountering everything from new loves and old flames to big dreams and major life changes to the classic drama and special moments that come with family.

First Killis an unconventional love story between teenage girls Calliope (Lewis) and Juliette (Hook): Calliope comes from generations of monster slayers and has to hunt a vampire in order to officially earn her stripes in her family trade, while Juliette comes from a long heritage of vampires and needs to find her first human victim in order to come of age as a full-fledged vampire. Both are looking for their first kill when they encounter one another, but instead sparks fly, sparking a thrilling forbidden supernatural romance.

'SPRIGGAN'

The ARCAM corporation’s Spriggan agents must keep them out of the wrong hands. It may be animated, but this is definitely a heart-pounding action-adventure series that viewers of all ages can enjoy (in fact, it’s probably more suitable for adults than young children due to the action and violence), so keep an eye out forSPRIGGANif you want an adrenaline-spiking viewing experience this June.

'God's Favorite Idiot'
